I was born and raised in Sudbury, MA. I've traveled to many different parts of the world before settling here in Missoula, MT. What a wonderful place to be.
Above is one of the iconic Hubble Deep Field images that helped change humanity's conception of the universe. This image is a long exposure of one of the blankest regions of space (from our Earthly view). Each bright spot represents a galaxy. Images like these helped us to determine that there are billions more galaxies in our universe than we originally thought. It is one of my favorite pictures ever taken.
Stephen Ritz is one of those guys who very quickly becomes an educator's hero. His energy is infectious, his compassion appears to be total and he knows how to get things done. This is my all-time favorite TED talk.
